Yesterday was tougher than it should have been but people still landed some nice fish. We had everything from bright sun to a brief heavy rain so it all seemed a little unsettled. Most of the storms seemed to slide south of us so the rivers are at the same levels as yesterday morning. We have some heat coming today with the air temp hitting 88 degrees with sunshine. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the West. Caddis may be active during the day if we get ome wind breaks. It looks like a good day to start off nymphing and get ready for the hatches as the sun drops in the evening. Bright sun and heat means it’s time to watch the afternoon water temps on the Lower East Branch, Mainstem, and Beaverkill.
