Delaware River Report / Conditions May 1, 2020

The Eastern side of the system flows are running really high this morning.  Pepacton Reservoir is spilling and there is a lot of water running down the Beaverkill and East Branch.  The Mainstem flow will continue to rise today.  The West Branch flow at Hale Eddy is 3,500 cfs and looks like it peaked already and is beginning to drop.  The flow below Hale will be much larger since the feeder streams are moving pretty good this morning.  It will take a few days for the water to filter through the system.  We have a slight chance of a rain shower today but otherwise the next rain isn’t until Wednesday.  We’re in for a beautiful weekend.  Check the latest flows in the links below before heading out.

We are following the State’s order and are closed right now.  We are still fulfilling mail orders in the online store:  https://drc-fly-shop.myshopify.com

Let’s keep the local pictures going.  Since everyone should be fishing local to their homes send us pictures of your locally caught fish and we’ll put them here on the blog.  Even chubs would be cool.  Email them to flyfish@thedelawareriverclub.com
