Delaware River Report / Conditions September 14, 2019

The release from Cannonsville has been bumped slightly to 811 cfs this morning.  This is the perfect situation to increase the release from Pepacton by a couple hundred cfs and decrease Cannonsville.  Mainstem temperatures are not a problem so some kind of balance between the two reservoir releases would actually make sense.  Yesterday’s bump added some extra weeds coming down that took a while to filter out.  The 10 – 15 mph wind from the South was the main problem.  There were some wind breaks on bends and behind islands.  Today we’ll have the same wind but a really good chance of afternoon showers.  The precip total should be less than 1/4″ so we could be in for a really good olive day.  The West Branch has the fall tint to it so streamers are now a good option too.
