Yesterday fished well for us overall with a mix of olives and small flying ants. There were a few Isonychias and cahills in the mix but the olives have been the main hatch for a while now. Thy ranged from size 18 to 26. A few fish wanted the tiny flies but overall you can get away with an #18. Nymphing or swinging wets were also productive before the hatch.
We have a few thunderstorms moving though the area this morning. The total rainfall should be under 1/4″ today. Check the gauges below for the latest flow data just to be sure. A little rain and good cloud cover should make decent fishing conditions today. 81 degrees and wind 5 – 10 mph from the South
If the rain impacts the flows significantly we’ll do a mid day blog update.
