Delaware River Report / Conditions September 2, 2021

The West Branch came through the storm fine.  The flow at Hale Eddy is only 1,080 cfs and dropping already.  There is a slight tint to the water but it is not brown.  Definitely fishable.  Feeder streams below Hale Eddy are adding water but they are also dropping. The East Branch drainage is larger with more feeder streams so those rivers are way up this morning.  It definitely helped that is was a medium all day rain rather a fast deluge.  The West stayed fishable all day yesterday.  We’re also in a cool down period with nights in the 50’s coming up. That will help the water temps tremendously.
