The aqueduct work has been pushed off again. It is now scheduled for Fall of 2024.
Nymphing and swinging wets were the best bets during the day again yesterday. We should have more cloud cover today and hopefully a little rain. That could push the hatching a little earlier in the afternoon. Sulphurs, Isonychias, and olives are making up most of the hatch but cahills would be a good option too. There has been some algae on the Upper West so if you’re nymphing stick lower on the river.
The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls and Mainstem at Lordville peaked close or over 70 degrees. The East Branch at Fishs Eddy hit 66 degrees. All the rivers are starting off a couple degrees warmer this morning. Give them a break until they cool down again.
Today will be a little cooler hitting 77 degrees with variable clouds. We may see a thunderstorm in the the afternoon but total rainfall should be around .08″. Wind will be 5-10 mph from the South.
