Yesterday was a nice day to be on the water with good cloud cover. The upper West fished with sulphurs and small olives while people on the lower West did well casting Isonychias. it fished the way Summer should fish on the West Branch. Today should be overcast again but we do have a little sun poking through. If we keep the cloud cover it should fish a lot like yesterday.
Today will be 80 degrees and overcast. There may be a stray shower. Wind will be light and variable.
The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, the East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and the Mainstem water temps are all too hot to fish this morning. It’s time to give these rivers a break.
