Delaware River Report: July 12, 2025

The release from Cannonsville has been dropped back to 549 cfs. We have good cloud cover again and the forecasted rain looks negligible at .18″. Overall it looks like a great day to be on the water. Just watch the radar in the afternoon. The midday Sulphurs are offering the best shot at dry fly fishing. The should be olives, Cahills, and Isonychias mixed in as well. The lower West has been a better bet for nymphs and wets but we may see some earlier bugs if we get the rain.

The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are all peaked in the mid to high 70’s yesterday. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 83 degrees with clouds in the morning and a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Total rainfall should be .18″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
