Delaware River Report: July 15, 2022

Wunderground describes today as having “abundant sunshine” so we should continue with our normal summer fishing. Mid afternoon sulphurs on the coldest river sections mixed with a few cahills and olives. There are a few Isonychias there too. The lower river sections will fish best with nymphs and wets until the sun drops. Then a few sulphurs, cahills, olives, and Isonychias. We’re coming off a cool night so there is fog on some river sections. That should burn off early. We’ll hit 82 degrees with light and variable wind.

The East Branch at Fishs Eddy, The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, and the Mainstem at Lordville all peaked close to 70 degrees yesterday. It’s time to give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.
