We had a little more rain yesterday afternoon but most of the storms slid around us. The West Branch looks fine this morning and is at a good level for floating and wading. There arr midday sulphurs on the upper river sections along with some olives, Cahills, and Isonychias. It’s cloudy and foggy this morning but it’s going to get sunny and hot this afternoon. Fish the coldest water for the best hatches. And look for areas that get shade early in the day.
The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are all peaked in the mid to high 70’s yesterday. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.
Today will be 87 degrees with clouds in the mornng and afternoon sunshine. Wind will be light and variable.
