Delaware River Report: July 18, 2026

The release from Cannonsville is 500 cfs. We should get some much needed rain this afternoon. Wunderground is calling for 1/2″ but there may be more localized if we get hit with some thunderstorms. Keep an eye on the radar this afternoon. Sulphurs, Cahills, Isonychias, olives, and some caddis are all hatching in some numbers. The daytime sulphurs are hatching in Deposit mixed with some olives and a few Isonychias. Stick to the lower West if you want to nymph. The algae has been bad up top making it a dry fly only game.

Today will be 80 degrees and partly cloudy with possible thunderstorms. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the Southwest.
