Delaware River Report: July 2, 2024

We had sun for much of the day yesterday and are on a warming trend this week. However, it will be far more comfortable than it was two weeks ago.

We got reports of decent hatches yesterday. The sulphurs are going strong, but bring a selection of summer mayflies (Isos, cahills, olives) as well as some caddis. Keep some spinners handy for the evening.

Today will be sunny with a high of 81. Winds light and variable.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville water temps all peaked at 70 degrees or higher yesterday. It’s still time to give these rivers a break.
