Delaware River Report: July 20, 2022

NYSDEC is releasing a 12 hour 200cfs pulse from Cannonsville and a 6 hour 100cfs pulse from Pepacton due to the expected high temperatures today. The pulse at Cannonsville will last until 11:00am today, the Pepacton pulse has already been completed. It is forecast to hit over 90° here today. Look for the coldest water and wait until it cools down in the evening. We saw sulphurs in the evening yesterday along with a handful of Iso spinners. Have a few different sulphur patterns with you since the fish can be quite particular.

The East Branch at Fishs Eddy, the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, and the Mainstem at Lordville all peaked over 70 degrees yesterday. Give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.

Ron caught a nice brown late in the evening.
.Bennett stayed out late to beat the heat.
