Delaware River Report: July 23, 2025

Today will be a little warmer and we’re keeping the sunshine. It should fish just like it did yesterday. Midday Sulphurs in the coldest water will be your best bet for dries. There have been some small olives mixed in so watch the fish rising to make sure they’re actually eating the sulphurs and not something else. Nymphing and swinging wets will be the best bets on the mid to lower West. Blind casting Isonychias and Cahills in the riffles could work too. There is a shot at spinners and some hatching as the sun drops and in to dark.

The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are all peaked in the mid to high 70’s yesterday. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 82 degrees with sun and clouds mixed. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
