The release from Cannonsville is 500 cfs. The West Branch came through the storms surprisingly well and it looks good out front this morning. Definitely clear enough to fish and just a small bump in flow at Hale Eddy to 695 cfs. Some of the feeders were getting dirty yesterday evening but the river looks good. The East Branch and Beaverkill were hit really hard and there will be some flooding on those rivers. We got really lucky on the West. We have the potential for a few storms today so keep an eye on the radar and the river gauges. So the fishing on the West Branch will be the same as it’s been for a few weeks. The daytime sulphurs are hatching in Deposit mixed with some olives and a few Isonychias. Smaller seems to be better. Stick to the lower West if you want to nymph. The algae has been bad up top making it a dry fly only game.
