Delaware River Report: July 5, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 600 cfs. We lost power in Thursday’s storms. It’s estimated to come back on Sunday at 11 pm. The rivers came through the storm just fine and the West branch and Upper East Branch look good this morning. We’re still fishing Sulphurs, Cahills, and Isonychias. Look for the better hatching in the coldest water. Nymphing or swinging wets will still be the best bets early.

The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are all peaking in the high 60’s to low 70’s. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 84 degrees and partly cloudy. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
