Delaware River Report: July 9, 2025

We had a little lightening and a rain shower last night but the river flows barely bumped and everything looks fine this morning. We are seeing the midday sulphurs in the coldest river sections along with some Isonychias, olives, and Cahills. The lower West is in good shape for nymphing, swinging wets, or blind casting Isonychias. We’ve settled into the normal July fishing. The hatches on the lower West are towards dark with the same bugs as up top.

The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Mainstem water temps are all peaked in the mid to high 70’s yesterday. It’s time to give these rivers a break until they cool back down.

Today will be 81 degrees and overcast. There is a slight chance of a rain shower. Wind will be light and variable.
