Delaware River Report: June 15, 2026

The release from Cannonsville is 500 cfs. We had some storms pass through that bumped the river flows a bit but we are already dropping back to normal this morning. The West Branch is off color but should begin to clear as the flow drops back to normal. Today is going to be much cooler than we’ve seen lately but we get some wind in exchange. Cahills, olives, and caddis are making up the main hatches. The sulphurs have been decent on some river sections in the evening and have even surprised us earlier in the day a few times this week. Nymphing or swinging wets have been the best bets during the day. Blind casting Isonychias or Cahills in the riffles could put a few fish in the net.

The Mainstem, the East Branch in Hancock, and the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls all peaked over 70 degrees again yesterday. It’s time to give these river sections a break until we cool back down.

Today will be 66 degrees and artly cloudy. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the North.
