Delaware River Report: June 16, 2024

Today should look a lot like yesterday with sun but less wind. Nymphing and swinging wets were the best bets during the day. There were some bugs in the late afternoon but the fish were a bit sporadic in the bright sun. Light olives, tiny olives, and cahills were out along with an occasional Isonychia. The water is clear and relatively low so presentation and patience were key.

Today will be 78 degrees and partly cloudy. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville all hit 69 degrees or hotter yesterday. Please check the water temp with a thermometer before fishing these sections.
