Delaware River Report: June 22, 2024

We were hit with some of the storms yesterday afternoon but the rain soaked into the ground and the change in flows is negligible. The release from Cannonsville was increased to 800 cfs until further notice. Nymphing and wets worked well yesterday and the olives, cahills, and some sulphurs were out in the evening. Some pools have been better than others so move around if you’re not seeing anything during primetime.

Today will be 88 degrees and partly cloudy with potential thunderstorms in the afternoon. Precipitation should be .08″, Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the West.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville all started near or over 70 degrees again today. It’s time to give these rivers a break.
