Delaware River Report: June 26, 2024

Power was finally restored in our area. Today will be warm again but we should see more clouds moving in during the afternoon and maybe a few showers. If the showers come during the afternoon that should push some light olives and tiny olives. The midday sulphurs in Deposit should be there like normal. The sulphur hatch should keep building over the next week. Cahills are still a staple on the lower West along with some Isonychias. Nymphing will be the best bet early in the day while the sun is still hitting the water.

Today will be 86 degrees with sun in the morning and increasing clouds in the afternoon. Total rainfall should be .05″ during the day with more coming overnight. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville water temps all peaked at 70 degrees of higher yesterday. It’s still time to give these rivers a break.
