Delaware River Report: June 27, 2024

The storms last night were mild here and mostly slid south of us. We got far less rain than they forecast so there’s little impact to the flows, except for a little bump on the East Branch. However, the air temperature is a lot cooler this morning.

With the cooler temps, we should hopefully see good hatches today. Carry your sulphurs and a good selection of your summer variations – cahills, Isos, small olives and some caddis.

Today will be 73 degrees with clouds in the morning and sun in the afternoon. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the Northwest.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville water temps all peaked at 70 degrees or higher yesterday. It’s still time to give these rivers a break.
