Delaware River Report: June 30, 2024

We got some much needed rain yesterday. We had light showers early in the day, followed by a heavier patch in the afternoon and evening. While most of the rain soaked into the ground, the Beaverkill did see some increased flow – though it remains warm. The West branch is clear this morning out front.

In the rain yesterday, fish were still eating sulphur patterns. You’ll want to bring your summer box of sulphurs, cahills, Isos and olives with you. Don’t forget to pack a few spinners.

Starting with some fog over the river this morning with a chance of scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. Winds 10 – 15 mph from the West, with higher gusts during the storms.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville water temps all peaked at 70 degrees or higher yesterday. It’s still time to give these rivers a break.
