Delaware River Report: June 30, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 600 cfs and the spill has stopped. The heat and sun are back for today. Nymphing and swinging wets will be the best bets early. We should see some sulphurs, cahills, and Isonychias today. Hopefully we’ll see some activity in the afternoon but the sun could push them into the evening. Look for the coldest water for the best shot at dry fly fishing. The Beaverkill, Lower East Branch, and Beaverkill all peaked in the high 60’s to low 70’s yesterday. The water temps will go higher today so it’s time to give those rivers and fish a break.

Today will be 86 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
