Delaware River Report: June 6, 2023

The river flows and temps are starting off about the same as yesterday morning. The cooler nighttime air temps have helped quite a bit. Nymphing is the best bet during the day but keep an eye out for sporadic risers. The weather looks good today except we’ll have to deal with some wind again. Wunderground is showing a few showers in the area but the total rainfall amount will be negligable. But clouds and any precip would be welcome. The wind made yesterday rough but it did drop a bit in the evening. The smoke from the Canadia forest fires made an odd haze in the late aftenoon. Sulphurs, Light Cahills, March Browns, cornutas and Green Drakes are hatching. Dark Blue Sedges #14 are out in the evening (Psilotreta sp.). Pale Evening Duns are beginning to show too.

Today will hit 74 degrees again. Wind will be 10 -20 mph from the North. Chance of rain 50%
