Delaware River Report: June 8, 2024

Yesterday’s rain showers cooled things down a bit but did little to the river flows. It was a bit unsettled between the cloud cover and sunshine. Today we’ll have more sun so nymphing or swinging wets will continue to be the best bets early. The evening should have sulphurs, Isonychias, cahills, and olives once the sun and wind drop. the caddis should be out in the afternoon to early evening. We’re still seeing some of the dark blue sedges and quite of few of the grannoms. And always have a tan #18.

Today will be 71 degrees with a mix of clouds an sun. There is a very slight chance of a rain shower but it will be negligible. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the West / North.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls, East Branch at Fishs Eddy, and Mainstem at Lordville all hit the high 60’s degrees yesterday. Please check the temps with a thermometer before fishing these sections.
