Take today off and regroup when the flows drop. We were hit with a lot of rain and all of the rivers are extremely high. Definitely unsafe for wading. The West Branch flow is already dropping. Generally the West Branch recovers to a fishable state in 24 hours. The flows will remain high for a while with reservoir spill. We’ll take a look at the flows again tomorrow morning. Here’s what is likely to happen over the next coupe of days. The West Branch flow will drop this morning but the flow will increase once the runoff above the reservoir increases the spill.
Yesterday fished well for the people who braved the weather. Streamers produced some decent fish and some people found fish on blue quills and hendricksons. It was a nice finish to April.
Today will be 53 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds. We may see a few showers totaling .07″ of rainfall. Wind will be 10 – 20 mph from the South.
