Delaware River Report: May 11, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 40 cfs with 5,028 cfs spilling over the top. The rivers have crested and the flows are beginning to drop. All of the rivers remain high and there is no wading except for some of the feeder streams. Floating is an option if you’re confident and competent behind the oars. Err on the side of caution. The rivers have some color but are clearing as the feeders drop and we’re left with more spill. The Beaverkill and Willowemoc will drop the quickest. The lower East will drop as those rivers while those two rivers drop but will level off a bit higher than normal because of the spill. The bugs have been good in the high water and someone will get dry fly shots today.

Today will be 68 degrees clouds and sunny. Wind will be 10 – 25 mph from the North.

The inflow in to Cannonsville is dropping. We should see the spill slow down over the next couple of days
