Delaware River Report: May 16, 2026

Both Cannonsville and Pepacton Reservoirs are spilling. The release from Cannonsville is 902 cfs with 169 cfs coming over the top. The best wade spots will be on the Beaverkill and Willowemoc. Hendricksons are still the main hatch on the upper river sections with March Browns, Gray Fox, and olives mixed. The caddis have been strong in the afternoons. We’re on a warming trend that should bump up the water temps over the next few days. That should push more bugs and push the spinners in to the evening.

Today will be 77 degrees with sun. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the South.
