Delaware River Report: May 21, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 600 cfs with 339 cfs spilling over the top. The river flows are still dropping and the wade opportunities are opening up. We’ll have rain today but if Wunderground is correct and it’s only 1/4″ over the course of the day we shouldn’t see much of a bump in flows. Streamers and nymphs are still putting fish in the net early. In the afternoons we’re seeing some March Browns, Gray Fox, Sulphurs, tan caddis and cahills around. Not particular heavy hatching but enough to get some fish looking up. Today looks like an olive day. The wind can put a damper on the dry fly fishing so look for protected areas if the pools get too choppy.

Today will be 51 degrees, cloudy skies, with rain showers. total rainfall over the day should be 1/4″. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the South.
