Delaware River Report: May 24, 2024

We had more afternoon sun than we were hoping for but people found some fish. Nymphing and wets will be the best bets early. There may be some caddis over the riffles and the odd March Brown / Gray Fox. The mayflies will likely be pushed later in the day with the weather.Blind casting the riffles may work if you don’t want to fish underneath,

Both the East Branch at Fishs Eddy and the Mainstem at Lordville peaked at 69 degrees yesterday. The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls hit 67 degrees. The rivers are starting off cooler this morning but please check the water temps before fishing these river sections.

Today will be 80 degrees with sunshine. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.
