Yesterday fished a lot like Wednesday. Decent hatches with fish looking up. Some people are finding fish on streamers but the dry fly fishing has turned on. Blue Quills and hendricksons are making up the bulk of the hatch. Cannonsville is spilling 2,352 cfs with a release of 673 cfs. Oquaga Creek has dropped to 209 cfs s the runoff is definitely subsiding. That said floating is still the only option. Use your best judgement and extreme caution. Definitely wear a life jacket. The rivers are still high and unsafe for wading. There will be some wade opportunities in the headwater streams.
Today will be a little bit warmer hitting 57 degrees. We may see a few showers totaling .01″ of rainfall. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North again. it looks similar to yesterday.
