Delaware River Report: October 1, 2024

Another foggy morning but the sun should burn that off early. The river flows are basically the same as yesterday along with the weather. Nymphing or swinging wets will be the best bet until the hatches start. It’s still a lot of olives mixed with some hebes. There are some Isonychias and cahills around. There are some caddis on the bushes so someone will see them on the water eventually.

Cannonsville is turning over so the West Branch has that green tint we get most Falls. It doesn’t bother the fish or the bugs.

Today will be 69 degrees with a few clouds. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
