Delaware River Report: October 13, 2025

The release from Cannonsville has been dropped back to 637 cfs. They bumped us to over 1k overnight and have now dropped us back. It looks like most of the rain will miss us so they increased the release to meet the Montague Flow Target. Wunderground is now only calling for 1/4″ of rain for us. The West Branch is still in great shape for wading and floating. Nymph and streamers will probably still be the best bets early. Cahills, hebes, Isonychias, olives, and caddis are all hatching in some numbers later in the afternoon.

Today will be 53 degrees a with 1/4″ of rain falling. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.

What’s Hatching:
Slate Drake – #12 – 14 – Isonychia bicolor
Light Cahill – #14 – Epeorus vitreus (male), Ephemeralla rotunda, Ephemerella invaria
Heptagenia hebe – #18 – 20 – Olive Sulphur
Dark Blue Wing Olive – #16 – 18 – Baetis spp.
Tan Caddis – #16 – 18 – Hydropsyche spp.
