Delaware River Report: October 17, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is steady at 930 cfs. There are some West Branch wade opportunities at this level but the lower East Branch and Upper Main will still have more comfortable wading. The wind was rough yesterday. It’ll still be up today but no where near as strong. We woke up to another heavy frost. The water temps are starting off a little lower again this morning after another cold night. Streamers and nymphs will still be the best bets early. In the afternoon we’ve seen a light mix of Cahills, hebes, Isonychias, olives, and caddis.

Today will be 58 degrees and sunny with a few afternoon clouds. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.
