Delaware River Report: October 2, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 1,140 cfs. This is another situation where the system would benefit by splitting some of the release between the East Branch and the West Branch. The tint on the West Branch is still there and has been helpful for the fishing. Streamers and nymphs have worked during the day with the dry flies coming in the late afternoon / evening. Olives are making up the bulk of the bugs but there are Isonychichia, Cahills, hebes, and some caddis around. It’s starting to be a good Fall mix and the cooler nights should help.

Today will be 67 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the South.
