Delaware River Report: October 5, 2024

There is some fog in spots but it should burn off quickly this morning leaving us with partly cloudy skies. Nymphing was the best bet yesterday but some people found fish willing to eat streamers too. On these sunny days the olives and hebes have been coming a bit later but before dark. Isonychias and cahills have been sporadic but blind casting them can still produce.

Cannonsville is turning over so the West Branch has that green tint we get most Falls. It doesn’t bother the fish or the bugs.

Today will be 68 degrees with patchy fog early turning partly cloudy. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.
