Delaware River Report: October 5, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 1,470 cfs. The higher release means more tint in the West Branch so we have a lot of color this morning. Wading will be tough on the West Branch. There are better wade opportunities on the Mainstem. It’s going to be another sunny day. Streamers and nymphs will be the best bets early. We’ve been seeing a mix of bugs as the drops. Cahills, hebes, Isonychias, olives, and caddis are all in play. The amount of bugs has varied each day and the sun and warm temps may push them later in the day,

Today will be 83 degrees and sunny. Wind will be light and variable.
