Delaware River Report: October 9, 2024

We’re coming off another cold morning but not much fog. This morning’s rain showers shouldn’t drop a measurable amount of water. The fishing should be the same so streamers or nymphs early with olives and hebes hatching in the afternoon. Isonychias and cahills in the riffles. If you’re seeing bugs and no rising fish swing wets or move to a different section.

Cannonsville is turning over so the West Branch has that green tint we get most Falls. It doesn’t bother the fish or the bugs.

Today will be 60 degrees with showers early leading into a partly cloudy afternoon. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the North.
