Delaware River Report: September 1, 2022

The release from Cannonsville has been increased to 1,184 cfs. This will make wading a little more difficult on the West Branch. Make sure to chose your wade spots carefully and check the gauge before you head out. We’ll post an update if the release changes. Small blue wing olives are still making up the bulk of the mayflies we’re seeing on the water. Make sure to have a few Cahill / stenos, small, sulphurs, Isonychias, yellow sallies, and flying ants in your box. Today will be another temperate day with sun and clouds. Wind will be 10 – 15 mph from the Northwest.

The East Branch at Fishs Eddy and the Beaverkill at Cooks Falls both peaked over 70 degrees yesterday. Give these sections a break until we get cooler temps.

Over 1,000 cfs this morning.
