Delaware River Report: September 15, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 831 cfs. We’re still in decent shape for wading and floating but pick your wade spots a little more carefully. We had a few clouds yesterday that helped the fishing. There are olives and hebes out along with a few Isonychias and cahills. The flying ants have been around for a bit in varying numbers. There has been a mix of sizes on the water but for the most part they have been small. Despite the bright sun some people have found fish on olives in the early afternoon.

Today will be 78 degrees and mostly sunny. Wind will be light and variable.

Sadly Ryan Geiges, a friend and former DRC guide, recently lost his battle with cancer. He will be missed by many – both off and on the water. There is a GoFundMe for Ryan’s family if you’d like to support them in this difficult time.
