Delaware River Report: September 16, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 763 cfs. The release was dropped slightly but we still have plenty of water on the West Branch. The water has that tint we get in the Fall. It doesn’t bother the fish or bugs and the river not being gin clear makes the fishing a little easier. Olives and hebes are making up most of the hatch but there are some Cahills and Isonychias around. Flying ants have been around in some numbers each day too.

Today will be 78 degrees with sun and clouds mixed. Wind will be light and variable.

Sadly Ryan Geiges, a friend and former DRC guide, recently lost his battle with cancer. He will be missed by many – both off and on the water. There is a GoFundMe for Ryan’s family if you’d like to support them in this difficult time.
