Delaware River Report: September 17, 2024

We’re in for a third day of the same weather. There will be some clouds around but mostly sunshine during the day. We should have some clouds come in overnight and last for the following couple of days. So it should fish the same today as yesterday with nymphing being the best bet early with small olives, some Isonchias and cahills, and hebes coming in the late afternoon. Some of the olives have been coming earlier and people are finding fish eating in the sunshine so it’s worth checking out before setting up the nymph rig.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls peaked at 70 degrees yesterday. It’s time to five the river a break until it cools back down.

Today will be 79 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun. Wind will be light and variable.
