Delaware River Report: September 18, 2024

We’re going to start off with some sunshine this morning but the cloud cover should increase this afternoon. The forecast doesn’t show us getting any rain this week but clouds and no wind will be okay. We’ve had some decent fog in the mornings. If you’re up early enough throwing streamers before it burns off could pay off. Nymphing will be a better bet once the fog burns off. The clouds should roll in during the afternoon. The olive hatches have been decent along with a few Isonychias, cahills, and hebes. The intensity of the bugs has varied a bit form river section to river section.

The Beaverkill at Cooks Falls peaked at 68 degrees yesterday.

Today will be 76 degrees with a mix of clouds and sun early with more clouds in the afternoon. Wind will be light and variable.
