The release from Cannonsville is 859 cfs. Wading is still possible on the West Branch but pick your spots accordingly. The Upper Mainstem is at a great level for wading. The West Branch has that tint we get in the Fall. It doesn’t bother the fish or bugs and the river not being gin clear makes the fishing a little easier. Once the fog burns off we’re in for another sunny day. Nymphing or swinging wets would be good options during the day. The tint on the West Branch makes streamers a viable option too. We have seen some olives midday but the majority of the hatch should come in the late afternoon. Olives and hebes are making up the bulk but here are some Isonychias, Cahills, and flying ants around.
Today will be 78 degrees and sunny. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.

Sadly Ryan Geiges, a friend and former DRC guide, recently lost his battle with cancer. He will be missed by many – both off and on the water. There is a GoFundMe for Ryan’s family if you’d like to support them in this difficult time.
