We came through the rain in good shape with the flow at Hale Eddy bumping slightly to 616 cfs. Oquaga Creek is leveled off at 51 cfs so we don’t expect any surprises morning. We do have a a little over 1/4″ more in today’s forecast but that shouldn’t be a problem. The cloud cover and rain should be good for the olives plus some Isonychias and Heptagenia. The caddis are picking up again which is always a sign of Fall fishing. We’re still seeing algae in the Upper West Branch so nymphing is better below Hale Eddy. The Upper East does not have any algae.
Today will be 62 degrees with clouds periods of rain. Daytime rainfall should be .25″. Wind will be 5 – 10 mph from the North.
