Delaware River Report: September 29, 2024

We woke up to some light showers that should end before lunch leaving u with a cooler, cloudy afternoon. The fog is patchy but thick in some areas. It should burn off in the next couple of hours. Olives made up most of the hatch again yesterday with some hebes mixed in. Some river sections are seeing Isonychias and a few cahills in the afternoons so blind casting riffles can still be a good bet. Nymphing was the better bet early yesterday. The tint on the West Branch is also making it a little better for streamer fishing.

Cannonsville is turning over so the West Branch has that green tint we get most Falls. It doesn’t bother the fish or the bugs.

Today will be 64 with morning showers turning into a cloudy afternoon. Wind will be light and variable.
