Delaware River Report: September 3, 2025

The release from Cannonsville is 709 cfs. The lower release will make wading easier but still keeps us at a good level for floating. The cooler nights have really helped the water temps on the other rivers opening up more fishing options. Nymphing or swinging wets will likely be the best bets during the day. We’ve seen decent olives most afternoons mixed with hebes, Isonychias, and Cahills. The fish seem happy to eat the bigger bugs even when we’re not seeing them.

Today will be 77 degrees with sunshine and a few afternoon clouds. Wind will be light and variable.
