Delaware River Report: September 30, 2024

Some river sections have thick fog this morning. That should burn off in a couple of hours. Wunderground is saying today will be “generally cloudy” which sounds like we’ll see at least some sun. We shouldn’t see any rain for the next few days. The river flows and temps are all at good levels. Streamer fishing is picking up a bit especially on the West Branch where the water isn’t as clear. Olives have been the main hatch but we are seeing hebes and a few Isonychias and cahills in the mix. Caddis have been on the bushes so they should pick up over the next week.

Cannonsville is turning over so the West Branch has that green tint we get most Falls. It doesn’t bother the fish or the bugs.

Today will be 72 and generally cloudy. Wind will be light and variable.
