Delaware River Report: September 30, 2026

The release from Cannonsville is 425 cfs. The flows have dropped back fro the rain and everything looks good this morning. We should have clouds again today so it’s looking like a good day to be on the water. Streamers and nymphs early with some dry fly action in the afternoon. Small olives have made up most of the hatch but there are some Cahills, hebes, and sporadic Isonychias out there. We’ve seen more Isonychia spinners than duns in the last week. The West Branch has a greenish tint to it that is likely the reservoir turning. The fish and bugs don’t mind it and its actually better for streamer fishing.

Today will be 71 degrees with fog in the morning and clouds in the afternoon. Wind will be light and variable.
